Frequently Asked Questions For Buyers
  1. Are your regrinds easy to use and how do they compare to prime or virgin resin?
We sell our regrinds to companies who do injection molding, sheet extrusion, blow molding, and or compounding. Regrinds can be used with minor equipment adjustments and save money. Some of our customers use regrinds at 100%, some blend as needed.

  2. What colors do you sell?
Most of our feedstocks are mixed colors to go black. However, we do generate some lots of material in natural or light tints. Ask your sales representative for more information regarding specific grades.

  3. Can I try some regrinds to see if they work?
We can provide representative samples of materials for testing and evaluation.

  4. What quantities must I purchase?
We sell in truckload or LTL quantities if freight issues are worked out.

  5. Do I pick up material or do you deliver?
We can do whichever you prefer.

  6. Are most materials available on a continuous basis?
The majority of material we sell is available on a continuous basis. Volume will vary depending upon material type.

  7. What about material quality concerns?
All scrap is inspected upon receipt. Our processing systems are set up to enable us to find and eliminate paper, metal, and other potential contaminants prior to grinding.
Frequently Asked Questions for Sellers
  1. What kind of scrap do you purchase?
We purchase post-industrial process waste, including regrind, parts, purge, logs, trim waste, bottles, bales, etc. We also purchase items such as shipping crates, totes, pallets, and other items that may be considered "post-consumer."

  2. What quantities do you buy?
We usually purchase in truckload quantities but can take a combination of items such as bales and boxes. Depending on type of scrap, a truckload may range from a net weight of 5,000 pounds up to 40,000 pounds. Pricing will be based accordingly. Please contact a purchasing agent for more information.

  3. Do you purchase regrinds and obsolete resins?
Yes, if there is a good indication that there is no contamination. Specification sheets on materials is very helpful and sampling may be requested.

  4. What about quality issues?
We inspect loads upon receipt. If there is an issue regarding contamination, we will work with suppliers to resolve.

  5. I do not know anything about plastics but have been receiving some from a customer. Could you help me?
We will be happy to answer any questions and provide assistance with identification of materials via sampling or other means. Collection feasibility would be determined by the volume and the storage space you have available. We can offer assistance regarding sorting and storage for the best return.
